There are many jobs in the health field or medical science however there is one job that really stands out and is one of the most important jobs in health care. This job is the occupation of being a medical examiner. Medical examiners will work with the deceased and will perform work and testing on dead bodies to see how they died and when they died. They will also be doing any morgue processing that may be necessary before they sign the deceased off to a funeral home or to a mortuary.
Medical examiners are vital to solving homicide cases and can often be expert witnesses in court to help tell the story of how a person was murdered, provide a potential motive, and a time of death. Being a medical examiner is no easy task before you get there and while you are there. Getting to be a medical examiner even has a higher level of training than just being an average doctor. There are necessary courses to be taken and much training to complete after graduating as a medical doctor to actually make it to being a medical examiner.

Being a medical examiner can also be a stressful or distressing job to whoever is working with it. Dealing with dead bodies can take a toll on someone emotionally and mentally. Also, sometimes medical examiners are confronted with diseases, dismembered bodies, bodies that have already begun the process of decomposition, heavy lifting and many kinds of smells. Bodily fluids that may leak or drain from the deceased can also prove as a biological hazard for the medical examiner in charge of the body. This job requires working long hours in a morgue and sometimes being able to go out into the field to examine what is in most cases a homicide or public accident before any of the evidence around the body is changed or altered and to see possibly which ways the body was affected.

Oncology gynecologists work with patients who have cancer of the breasts or of the reproductive tract and can be in charge of helping their patients find treatment and ways to battle their cancer.

Those doctors who work in obstetrics are able to take care of their patients who are pregnant and often assist in the births of their patients babies to deliver the baby and make sure that their patients are alright after the delivery of their child. There are more and more females taking a career in this field so that their patients feel more comfortable with their caretaker.

A pediatrician is a medical doctor who specializes in helping patients from the age of birth to age 21 but mainly focuses their career on the health care of children and adolescents. The pediatric field is loaded with fields of its own. Any field or specialty that can be covered by a normal medical doctor can also be covered in pediatrics such as pediatric oncology, pediatric gynecology, pediatric ophthalmology or pediatric dentistry.

This is because human beings who are not fully developed have different bodies than those of adult patients and different processes take place which calls for new areas of expertise and experience for the ultimate goal of satisfying the patient and treating disease to help aid in patients living long and happy lives. Pediatricians also help to make sure that their patients are able to grow and develop properly into adults and to help their patients create healthy lifestyles. Being a pediatrician is not just about treating but it is about also teaching parents and guardians how to provide healthy lifestyles for their children.

A pediatrician also has the responsibility at paying close attention for special signs of abuse or neglect to their patients and to make sure that no behavioral or psychological/psychiatric problems go on unnoticed. Becoming a pediatrician requires going to medical school and becoming a doctor first and then to train to become a pediatrician and then to officially take the exam to become a licensed pediatrician. Becoming a pediatrician takes many years to complete and the job can be stressful sometimes physically and emotionally.

It is hard to see a child suffering or in pain and it takes a new level of understanding to figure out the problems considering children cannot verbalize themselves as adults can. Coming across a child who is being abused or neglected can be stressful as well. Children are the future and need doctors for them as well.
